Obituary for Phillip James Wilde

Phillip “Phil” James Wilde, 52, of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly at 3:45 p.m., Monday, January 6, 2020 in his home.

He was born November 5, 1967, in Valparaiso, Indiana, to James Dickinson and Linda Button.

Phil was environmentally friendly helping to clean up trash and recycling in his community. He enjoyed playing pool with family and was a car enthusiast. His favorite past time was playing games and activities with his children when they were growing up. Phil was known for his funny personality.

Surviving are his parents, Ronald and Linda Wilde of Knox; one son, Andrew Wilde of La Porte; one daughter, Garrette Wilde of Goshen; one brother, David (Heather) Wilde of Knox; nephew, Zachary Wilde of Knox; niece, Tori (Adam) Jaworski of Koontz Lake; great nephew, Zenek Jaworski; great niece, Marziana Jaworski; former wife, Sue Smith of La Porte; and his daughter’s mother, Julie Miller of Goshen.

Cremation will take place. A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, January 19, 2020 at American Legion Post 83, 228 E. Lincolnway, La Porte, Indiana 46350. Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, La Porte, (219) 362-3100 is caring for the arrangements.
