Obituary for Timothy Joseph Brown

Timothy J. Brown, 83, of La Porte, passed away peacefully at 12:12 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Golden Living Center, La Porte.

He was born July 21, 1935, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to Joseph and Daisy (Thompson) Brown.

Timothy retired at the age of 75 from truck driving. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Timothy enjoyed driving, fishing, gambling and telling stories of the road and picking cotton in Arkansas. He was very proud and dearly loved his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

On April 25, 1981, in Knox, IN, he married Nancy J. Brown, who survives.

Also surviving are five daughters, Rebecca (Dean) Davis of Oak Hill, FL, Tracy (Bucky) Bays, Kimberely Bernacki, Holly (Kory) Lyles and Julie (Mike) Padgett all of La Porte; one son, Randall (Diana) Radloff: one sister, Pauline of Idaho; three brothers, Paul of Oregon, and Jimmy and David of Missouri; nineteen grandchildren, Amy Jo, Lacie, Chance, Kyle, Taylor, Kynsey, Brian, Mathew, Derek, Jeffery, Jessica, Jamie, Trent, Jazmine, Alexa, Brendan, Michael, Stephanie and Karen; and many great grandchildren.

Preceding in death were his parents; first wife, Zelphia Earline; daughter, Victoria; and son, Timothy Joseph, Jr.

A private celebration of life gathering will take place. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte (219) 362-3100 is caring for the arrangements.
